The building insulation process according to the requirements of the design unit is divided into two ways, one is the bonding of thermal insulation materials, and the other is directly mixed with thermal insulation particles of mortar plastered on the building wall. In the latter way, there is no bonding of insulation boards, but the insulation particles are directly plastered on the wall, and the thickness of the one-time plastering reaches 3-5 centimeters, thus playing the role of building thermal insulation. This formulation process is known in China as FTC Insulation Mortar Stone, where the insulation granules are mixed with the mortar in a mortar factory, bagged, and then transported to the construction site.
Insulation particles are different from each other, and so are the formulas. Insulation particles are polystyrene particles, perlite particles, and vitrified microspheres. Several formulations can be listed here:
Polystyrene Particle Insulation Mortar: Cement #425 (high grade), fly ash or heavy calcium carbonate, cellulose ether (HPMC), redospersoble polymer powder (VAE), polypropylene staple fibers (12mm), wood fibers and polystyrene particles.
Vitrifiedmicrosphere insulation mortar: cement #425 (high grade), cellulose ether (HPMC), polypropylene staple fibers, redispersible latex powder, and wood fibers.
Perlite granule thermal insulation mortar: cement (#425), perlite granules, hydromagnesite fibers, sepiolite powder, wood fibers, redospersoble polymer powder (VAE), and cellulose ether (HPMC).
Insulation mortar production line is not equivalent to dry mix mortar production line in the above formulations. If the customer sells insulation mortar per cubic meter, then special attention needs to be paid to the breakage of the insulation granules during the production process, as this can lead to a reduction in the number of cubes. In this case, it is not possible to use a dry mix mortar production line or a dry mortar mixing plant, but the new drum type vitrified microbead thermal insulation mortar production line of our company.
