A dry mortar mixing plant is a specialized piece of equipment used to produce a variety of dry mortars required in building construction. These mortars include, but are not limited to, dry mortars, gypsum binders, tile binders, and cement-based mortars. Through modernized equipment and processes, the dry mortar mixing plant is able to efficiently and stably produce mortar products of excellent quality to meet the diversified needs of the market.
Components of dry mortar mixing plant
Various kinds of silos on the top
The top of the dry mortar mixing plant is equipped with several silos for storing different types of raw materials. The main types of silos include dry sand silos, cement silos and additive silos. These silos ensure that the raw materials remain dry and clean during the production process.
Flow pipes and screw conveyors
Flow pipes and screw conveyors are important devices for transporting raw materials from silos to batching hoppers. Flow pipes are mainly used for gravity conveying of raw materials, while screw conveyors are used for horizontal or inclined conveying to ensure that the raw materials reach their destinations without any problems.
Batching hopper
The batching hopper is an important part of a dry mortar mixing plant, used for accurate weighing and batching. The dry sand batching hopper, cement batching hopper and additive batching hopper are used for batching at the same time, which improves the production efficiency and batching accuracy.
Handling of dry sand
In dry mortar mixing plant, dry sand enters into dry sand batching hopper by self-flow method. This way reduces the wear and tear of the screw conveyor and prolongs the service life of the equipment. Meanwhile, the dry sand is screened and de-dusted before entering the batching hopper to ensure the quality of the mortar product.
Working principle of mixer
Dry mortar mixer is the core equipment of the mixing plant, mixing all kinds of raw materials evenly through mechanical mixing. Different types of mixers differ in mixing effect, efficiency and energy consumption. Common types of mixers include double-shaft mixers and single-shaft mixers.
Production Process
Feeding
The production process starts with the selection and preparation of the required raw materials. The raw materials are transported to the respective batching hoppers via flow pipes and screw conveyors.
Mixing
The various types of raw materials are weighed in proportion to the recipe and then entered into the dry mortar mixer for mixing. The mixing time and speed are adjusted according to the different mortar types to ensure a homogeneous mix.
Finished product transportation
The mixed dry mortar enters the distribution and conveying system through the buffer hopper, and is finally loaded into bags or transportation trucks through the loading port, ready to leave the factory.
Types of dry mortar
There are many different types of dry mortars including, but not limited to, dry mortars, gypsum binders, tile binders, lime-cement mortars, gypsum-based binders, cementitious plastering mortars, self-leveling mortars, gypsum caulks, concrete additives, and quick-setting cements. Each of these products has its own specific application areas and performance characteristics, meeting the needs of different construction scenarios.
